If you, as the actual carrier of a shipment, are the unwitting recipient of a double-brokered shipment that originated with Copper Run, you are protected. Copper Run will arrange to pay you immediately upon receipt of your documentation, provided we have not already irretrievably paid someone else for the same shipment. You are protected.
If we have already paid someone else, then we will sort out the mess, which may take some time. But we will still ensure that, one way or another, you will be paid. You are still protected.
DON’T DO IT!
On the other side of the coin: Double-Brokering of any Copper Run shipment is strictly prohibited.
A carrier who double-brokers a Copper Run shipment, without prior written permission from Copper Run, will not likely be paid by anyone. Copper Run will pay the carrier who actually carried the shipment, and we will pay them the lesser of what we offered the offending carrier and what the actual carrier agreed to.
IF YOU CAN’T DO IT, GIVE IT BACK
If you have accepted a shipment from Copper Run and you find that you can’t service the shipment, then give it back to us. We might not be happy, but we don’t bite.
